It has some issues stemming from past mismanagement, but it also has piles of upsides. Each place has it's different stigma, I live in Peoria Heights, and I have to say it's actually wonderful. The reality is Peoria is a solid little city. You have the amenities of Peoria right there with the local community feel you would get in a smaller town. It seems like it has bad reputation in terms of safety, but also that’s what google says about every city anyways. They seem expensive for the size, but most are very modern and updated.
